Pi approximation day is July 22nd written in the day/month format. The mathematical fraction is an approximation for the irrational number π. While both π and 22/7 never end, π never repeats itself while the pi approximation does:
For those who don’t remember their math symbols, the bar above the numbers mean that that sequence repeats forever. So… π approximation was responsible for the WO.

The THANG
- 3 – Mosey (lengths of soccer field)- technically we did 4 lengths but this is an approximation, right?
- 14 – Windmills IC
- 28 – Motivators from 7 IC
- 57 – LBCs (IC to 28 + 1)
Just like the pi-approximation, we repeated the last 6 digits. So, another round of windmills, motivators, and LBCs!
- 14 – Windmills IC
- 28 – Motivator from 7 IC
- 57 – LBCs (IC to 28 + 1)
Since I value my sanity, we did a different set of exercises for the next round.
- 14 – smurf jacks IC
- 28 – plank jacks IC (2-reps per so we actually did double!)
- 57 – flying squirrels along the modified Route 66 (10 trees +2 at the end)

Breaking up the numbers a little differently…
- 1 – lap mosey around upper parking lot
- 42 – squats along the modified Route 66 (7 trees starting at 3). I think we overshot this one by 1 tree. Maybe thrown off by the long line of cars coming for a swim team’s “land-based” workout.
- 85 – rosalitas along the modified Route 66 (12 trees + 7 at the end) on the grassy rim perpendicular to the soccer field.
- 7 – (oops, seemed to have skipped this!)
Moseyed back to move the flag for the swim team practice. Replanted shovel flag at the winter location.
- 14 – Boat Canoes IC
Count-o-rama, Name-o-rama.
COT: Life continues to happen during the pandemic both good and bad. Let’s stay strong and healthy and support those who are struggling with life’s “regular” challenges.
