What: Yesterday, on 4/20/2021 the jury found former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin being found guilty of second- and third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in the death of George Floyd. With so much (important) attention to social justice this past year, it felt appropriate to focus our workout and energy on George Floyd. I searched for the best person I could to capture the impact of the George Floyd case to our society and I think this man did a pretty good job..

Warm Up-

Industry standard arm circles, circle arms, windmills and motivators to get the blood pumping. Then a mosey to the pavilion to carry out the workout. I’m still recovering from a sore hammy from Running with Risky so the moseying will be limited today.

The Thang-
We looked deep into the Exicon for some quality exercises with the intention of spelling George Floyd’s name.

G- Growing Pains – 30 LBCs, 30 Big Boys & 30 Supermans
E- E2K (ear to knee) x 21
O- One hundred burpees, we made it to 50 and kept it moving
R – Rest aka breathing, hey we just did 50 burpees
G- Growing Pains – 15 merkins, 15 wide merkins & 15 ranger/diamond merkins
E- E2K the other side x 21

F- Fire Drill (stop, drop and roll with hot feet in between) x each Pax gets to call “Fire!” once.
L- Lunges x21
O- One burpee
Y- “Yellowtail” Catalina Wine mixers x21
D- Dips x21 and shoulder press for bonus x11 for each arm.

We closed out with Boat Canoes, announcements and thoughts on how we can have a positive impact on our world. We are lucky to have such a diverse group at F3Princeton and hopefully we take some time today (and everyday) to remember that this certainly isn’t the case everywhere in the world. We should all put forward time and energy to make it better.
