📣 Shout Out to Dos Equis for recieving the first Northeast Sector DosEquis Leadership Though Service Award (to be awarded every Dos years). Please read the meaningful words ScarU shared at our 7th Anniversary.

Gentlemen,
ScarU
Eight years ago, Dos picked up a magazine, read about F3, and something sparked. Instead of letting it pass, he acted. On June 30th, 2018, he drove 60 miles to Reeves Park in Phoenixville for his first workout—where he earned the name Dos Equis.
But he didn’t stop there. From late 2018 into early 2019, he kept making the trip to F3 Philly, learning, building relationships, and preparing for something bigger—because he had a vision: “I want to bring this home.”
And seven years ago, he did.
F3 Princeton launched with 15 men… and because of that one decision, what started as a single AO has grown into a movement across New Jersey and throughout the Northeast.
Dos Equis didn’t just build regions—he built men.
He reminds us, “This world needs more men like us—strong in body, character in virtue… caring for family as well as strangers… deeply rooted and bearing fruit.”
That’s not just something he says—it’s how he lives.
He embodies what we call living third—putting others ahead of himself again and again.
And he’s a true fisher of men—bringing guys in, connecting them, and helping them find something bigger than themselves… from NJ to PA to NY and across New England.
And for me personally… I wouldn’t be here without him.
Seven years ago, I found F3—and it gave me fitness, fellowship, and faith… a deeper sense of purpose in my life. He believed in me, gave me the opportunity to serve as Nantan, and has stood by my side as Weasel Shaker during my time as Northeast Sector Q.
At his core, his life and leadership come down to something simple:
“See a need… and respond to meet that need.”
And because he did… we’re all here.
Gentlemen, please join me in honoring the first ever Northeast Sector Leadership Award recipient, Curtis “Dos Equis” Hoberman.
Dos… your legacy is already woven into the fabric of this region—and it will endure for years to come. In fact, from this day forward, this honor will carry your name: the Dos Equis Leadership Through Service Award
It is my HONOR to give you this award in your name, which will be given every 2 years to a worthy PAX in the region, who serves/gives back, who lives third and who inspires us.
🛡 Pick Up the 6 🛡
If you or a PAX could use support—prayers, encouragement, or help—reach out to the SLT. We’ve got you!

Schuylkill River Relay – 4/26 – Philly
I’ve registered team “F3 Princeton” for the Schuylkill River Relay on Sun April 26: I’ve run 19 races in the past 3 years, and this was the most fun (https://runsignup.com/Race/PA/MontClare/TheSchuylkillRiver50kRelay). @Marc Rubenstein (ScarU) is confirmed. We need 5 more (including one alternate, who can run in a pair). Each person runs ~5 miles. It’s really fun. I’ve paid the full amount (cost is $47/person).

The return of GTE Events for 2026
Hey PAX who are up for a serious challenge: read the post from Cadre Daniel of F3….the Freedom Ops experience will be life changing I can assure you.
“Men of this great nation, from the first GrowRuck event conceptualized by F3 co-founders Dredd and OBT in NOV 2016 (Jax Beach, FL) until present, there have been 62 Growth Training Exercises (GTE) and Growth Running Exercises (GRE) with 3,502 pax completing one of these transformational events! Now in 2026, Freedom Ops (formerly GrowRuck) is bringing ten GTEs, one GRE, and a new event concept called Vanguard Series – Phalanx to strategic locations throughout the US. It is my strong opinion that every man should complete at least one GTE or GRE for his leadership development and the betterment of his own mental toughness. Added benefit… these events are guaranteed to accelerate community growth. Are you ready to be transformed? Are you prepared to transform your community? Get some! Sign up! Train hard! Perform! (the photo shown is from a cadre member training camp last winter in VA… the Freedom Ops cadre team is ready to change lives… how about YOU?!)”
ScarU
Sign ups are live now for the Blue Ridge GTE!
I know a bunch of bad asses in this group who would kick the pants off this challenge. Guaranteed you’ll grow as a person and as a leader- ask @Harjot Pannu (Cruiser) – Sept 25-27 in Blue Ridge, VA
