Boxing Day

Happy Boxing Day! Also known as Dec. 26th and the day after Christmas. It’s a British holiday when the servants receive gifts and a day off from working on Christmas. For my entire life, I’ve always known it as another part of the holiday and time to hang with the family and maybe get some post holiday sales. For today and the F3 version of boxing day, it’s another reason to get after it and celebrate the arise.

Where- The Rising AO, not warm, a windy 27 degrees
Who-17 total- The Ux, ScarU, Dick Clark, Photo Finish, Cruiser, Trail-Blazer, Milky Way, Black Hole, Risky Business (WELCOME BACK!), Mulligan, Red Card, Red Coat, Dos Equis, Mountie, Munchies, Brisket and Wall-E in the Zoom.

Warm it up
1. Circle arms and stretching to start it up
2. Low-Widers
3. 2020 REM burpee tribute – SSHs while we listen to “It’s the end of the world” and throw in a burpee every time we hear the chorus.
(4. Side Push-ups- we missed out on these but we’ll get them next time.)

The Thang
We moseyed to the barn to pick up some coupons and start creating some boxes.
5 rounds of 5 exercises, 40 seconds on, 20 seconds rest.
1. Squat Press, Merkins, LBCs, Burpees, Planks
Ring around the mosey (jog around the coupon circle)
2. Lunges, Shoulder press, big boy sit-ups, kettle bells, curls
Ring around the mosey
3. Ice skaters, alternate hand on coupon merkins, American hammers, Mountie climbers, boat/canoes
Ring around the mosey
4. Block sits (squats, get so low you sit on the coupon), block merkins, freddie mercury, leg swings, dead lifts
Ring around the mosey
5. Imperial walkers, incline merkins, dying cockroach, peter parkers, donkey kicks

And we closed it out with Row blocks (coupons lined up 3 feet apart and you move down the line doing alternating merkins) to put the coupons away.

Mosey back to the flag for the COT.
We took a second to recognize how impressive it is to keep showing up to F3Princeton everyday/week and to be active together. This has been a crazy year and for all of us, if this was the only consistent thing we did, then we are heading in the right direction.
Happy holidays! I hope the rest of the everyone’s holiday was great. Thanks for showing up and braving the weather to get better.

Coffeteria- Most of us met up for coffeteria after the beatdown and we completed a F3 Pollyanna gift exchange. It was a lot of fun as gloves, tripods, jump ropes and F3 gear was exchanged between the pax. Thanks for ScarU for coordinating, that should be a new tradition for F3Princeton and beyond.
